Acutts Hillcrest Agents help to upgrade the Kloof Trauma Centre
Category News
The Trauma Centre in Kloof is situated in a prefab building just behind the Kloof Police Station. The Centre was cold and damp, with little furniture, and certainly not welcoming to trauma victims.
Dee Wright of Acutts Hillcrest was approached by Nikki Mohlman of Kloof Community Police Forum, who shared her dream of upgrading the facility. Dee brought Nikki to meet the Hillcrest Team, who immediately embraced the opportunity to assist those in need.
Several of the Agents made personal contributions of furniture and linen, and had Saturday morning workshops to decorate the Centre. The Agents really worked together to complete this project, and they enjoyed the experience.
"ACT Paints" kindly repaired and painted the walls and ceilings of the 2 trauma rooms, and "Expanda" fitted a security gate to the front door.
The project has been an excellent example of a team working together and pooling resources for a common objective. We are now looking for our next project to help those in need.
We want you to get involved. Getting involved in your community is crucial to the success of your business. By getting involved and giving back to the community you are elevating yourself as a concerned member of the community.
Think about the happy smiles you will be encouraging when you donate a box of second hand shoes that haven’t been used in months or the joyful laughter when a child receives his/her first toy. Equally important, get members of your community involved in your efforts.
