I recently hosted a talk where part of my speech was dedicated to describing the 165 year history of my family firm, originally known as Robert Acutt Auctioneers, and how it came to be the award winning organisation it is today. The epic story of the arrival of Robert Acutt and his family to Port Natal, South Africa in 1851 in search of hope and new beginnings is one that plays out like a modern day novel, and is best described in our centenary brochure (dated 1951) which is available for you to read on our website.
On looking back on the last 165 years in business the one thing that is consistent throughout the history of our established firm is that we have always pioneered the real estate industry. One of the main reasons I am so passionate about our group, is that even in the current exciting time of new ideas and new technology, Acutts continues to pioneer the real estate industry. This is mostly evident in the launch of two completely new innovations to property which we believe will revolutionise the way buyers and sellers interact with agents.
The first innovation, through our business partners the Betterlife Group, we are proud to bring you an application that takes away the pain of dealing with multiple maintenance Service Partners to you home, whilst guaranteeing quality service. It literally is your one-stop maintenance shop in the palm of your hand. Whether you are thinking of moving or have already moved, the Snappy Home app has the pre-screened Service Partner for you at the press of a button.
The second innovation which we launched to the market recently is the Acutts True Value Stamp. This stamp of approval is featured on all properties for sale which we feel have been priced according to what the current market dictates. This stamp appears on all our printed media as well as the listings on our own website and is a great tool for buyers (and sellers) to single out properties which we feel are priced correctly for the current market.
